So how is your summer progressing? Mine has had its ups and downs, as the people in the Yahoo group have noted. The death of a good friend from my younger years threw me off balance in June, so I was (and at time still am) in a bit of a funk. It is a difficult thing to watch anyone pass away, but I've found it becomes particularly difficult when people your own age or younger give up the ghost. Not because I fear dying... I don't. I'm secure in my faith in Christ, and take God's promises as being as tangible as the chair I'm sitting on... more so, as this chair will eventually turn to dust whereas His promises will most certainly not.

As for the website, You'll note that there are now over 91,000 presets available, and the truth of the matter is I have the material on my hard drive to push that number to over 100,000. I hope to make it there this week... we shall see. I've also been furiously working on a Digital Scrapbooking with Photoshop video... stay tuned for that, as I'm almost done recording.

I want to express my appreciation for the members who have been actively promoting the site on their pages and blogs... Thanks you!!! You himble this ol' Montana boy, and I most definitely appreciate each one of you. Heck, I appreciate everyone who joins, as you help pay for the groceries. Thanks again everyone!

I noticed on Maddy's Blog that she had a daily Scripture, so I've added that to this page also on the right. A daily shot of the Bible is a good thing... I would argue it is a nessesary thing to make it through this day and age. Read it if you are of a mind to. Thanks Maddy!

I'm amazed. First, that I haven't written in here in nearly a year (where does the time go?), and second, that in 11 short months the website has more than tripled in size. You keep coming in, and I'll keep building!

The last year has been an interesting ride. I found an entire genre of design that uses my work (or perhaps they found me) that I never saw coming when I started this website 8 years ago. Digital Scrapbooker have been working at home, flying beneath the radar of the 'Big Boys' for quite awhile, and it has been a true blessing to conect with these wonderful people. They design for the love of it... remember those days? I appreciate their passion, and appreciate the reminder that Photoshop can be fun again. They have been keeping me on my toes, to be certain: so much to learn, so much to share.

As for the family: doing well and loving life. What else can I say?

As of today, I have over 20,000 presets uploaded and available in the members area. It has been a long time coming and a lot of hours, but with the addition of over 2000 brushes today in 114 sets, I've been able to reach the marker. I hope you find them useful.

This winter was a bit rough on our family... a death, 3 months of illness, a couple miscellaneous tragedies. we made it through Ok, and the time allowed me to get more video produced and work on some back-burner items I've been kicking around. Hopefully those will be live soon, as I'm about to go into another book writing cycle and that can be time consuming, to say the least.

Until next time, stay well and happy. Cheers!

Well folks, its finally here... the newest incarnation of ActionFx. I'd intended for this to go live a couple months ago, but life simply gets in the way sometimes and I had to forego my initial launch plans to take care of some personal issues. Thanks for the patience of the members... you rock.

While attempting to make the site easier to navigate with a more 'professional' feel, I wanted to include this page to add a personal touch... a place to keep whoever might be interested abreast of what I'm up to, my thoughts on whatever hits me and so on. It may be graphics related, it may be about global domination, or the price of gasoline (I'll be impressed when it hits $1.25 again).

Anyway, enjoy the site, and stay tuned for plenty more. I've more add-ons and material than my hard drive knows what to do with... in other words, plenty more on the way. Take care! ~Al~
